A perceived insult by Marco Rubio fueled Gov. Chris Christie’s bombshell endorsement of Donald Trump, The Times reports. Rubio placed a condescending call to ask for the governor’s backing after Christie dropped out of the presidential race. The 44-year-old candidate all but patted Christie, 53, on the head in a voicemail message, saying he “had a bright future in public service,” sources told The New York Times.

Rubio Was Right, and Chris Christie was Wrong About Obama
Sometimes you outsmart yourself. After re-watching the excruciating Rubio-Christie exchange (embedded in David's post), I can't help but think that Marco Rubio outsmarted himself -- or at least locked in on the wrong part of Chris Christie's commentary and, in the heat of the moment, couldn't let go. In the post-mortem, it has been noted repeatedly that Christie attacked Rubio as an unaccomplished, programmed candidate. But Rubio's alleged insufficiencies were only one part of Christie's argument.Read more at National Review

We Need "Constitution Strong", Not "Christie Weak"
It's Republican presidential primary "game time", and where the party's candidates stand on the proper role of judges in our representative democracy could not be a more important - or, in most respects, a more unifying - issue.

Christie: No Syrian Refugees In America, Not Even ‘Orphans Under The Age Of Five’
Chris Christie said that because he lacks the confidence in the Obama Administration’s vetting ability, he would not allow any Syrian refugees into America — not even “orphans under the age of five.”Appearing on The Hugh Hewitt Show on Monday, Christie said, “The fact is, that we need for appropriate vetting and I don’t think orphans under five should be admitted into the United States at this point." --It is “shameful” that Obama doesn’t understand the president’s first job is to “protect the safety and the security of the American people,” said Christie.
