Ted Cruz finds eager religious audience in moderate New Hampshire

In a dimly lit bar covered in Red Sox memorabilia, a bundled up, beer-drinking crowd jostled to get a glimpse of Ted Cruz. --"Scripture tells us there's nothing new under the sun," said Cruz, standing on a stool. "Amen!" a woman shouted back. In New Hampshire, the second-most secular state in the country following only nearby Vermont, Cruz is leaning hard into his evangelical persona.
